Doug Peters is Featured Speaker at Two 2019 National Seminars in Las Vegas, NV on Defending Against False Allegations of Child Molestation
The National Child Abuse Defense and Resource Center invited Doug Peters to speak at their October, 2019 conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Peters’ lecture was entitled “False Allegations of Child Abuse: The Ethical Path To Victory.” Also, Mr. Peters’ book entitled “Defense of the Child Molestation Case in Georgia” was purchased by numerous attendees from states throughout the country. In previous years Peters lectured to the organization on “The Pre Trial Daubert Challenge to the Shaken Baby Syndrome” and on “Cross Examination of the Child Advocate.” Of this year’s seminar Peters said “defending a citizen falsely accused of child molestation presents unique ethical challenges and I was very honored to share my perspective on these very important questions with other attorneys in our country dedicated to defending innocent clients.”
The following month Doug Peters was again invited to Las Vegas to address the 2019 Conference of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Peters’ presentation was the first of its kind, and featured a recreation of the jury trial of the “State of Georgia v. Avis Stone”, a trial in which Peters recently successfully defended a client indicted for multiple counts of Aggravated Child Molestation.
