Rubin gets TPO against Lawyer Dismissed
A prominent Atlanta lawyer was forbidden from having any contact with his daughter after his ex-girlfriend accused him of sexually abusing his daughter. As a result of the allegation, a DeKalb County Superior Court Judge issued a temporary protective order (TPO) against the lawyer. After receiving notice of the TPO, the lawyer retained Bob Rubin who immediately began investigating the allegations. The investigation revealed that the ex-girlfriend’s allegations were motivated by her anger and jealousy. Rubin had the lawyer polygraphed and submit to a psychosexual examination. Rubin then filed a brief challenging the admissibility of the child hearsay and on the morning of the TPO hearing, the Judge dismissed the case, citing Rubin’s brief. The lawyer has been reunited with his daughter.
